Robert Mealy Funeral Home - Goochland, VA Junious Parrish Obituary announcement - Posted by Matthew Britt 2012-01-18 01:07:55 To The Family of Uncle Junious Parrish


We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Junious. It was just over a month ago, at his wife’s, Blanche Britt Parrish’s, funeral, that we saw him. He, of course, was grieving but looked extremely well for a man in his 80’s.

We know that our Aunt Blanche loved him very much and tried to care for him as long as she could during his health issues. She visited him as much as possible in his assisted care living facility and we know that our cousins Rosalind Pittman and Wilda Logan (two of his step-children) also continued to visit him after Aunt Blanche’s death. Dr. LaPearl Winfrey, another step-daughter, said that it was one of the hardest things that she had ever had to do was to tell Uncle Junious that Aunt Blanche was terminally ill.

Uncle Junious was always very kind and courteous to us. We know that he had grieved terribly since November. So, now, they are together again.

To his children and step-children, we say, may precious memories of your father and step-father sustain you through this, your hour, of bereavement. Look to the hills from whence cometh your help. God will take care of you.
