My deepest condolences on the loss of your mom. I know the last few years have been very difficult, and I hope you take some comfort in the knowledge that she has passed on to a well deserved rest.

I remember so well the enduring and sustaining friendship between your parents and mine, the many good times they shared through the years. Their friendship meant so much to my parents. There was no one whose company they enjoyed more, whether it was a simple evening of popping corn and watching Hee-Haw or Lawrence Welk, a picnic at Doliver Park, or a road trip to Des Moines. I can still hear their lively conversations and peels of laughter, and the memory makes me smile.
